WIP "Soul eater"

This is a work made for a "colour VS monochrome" competition. It was necessary to reveal the struggle of two opposites by proposing a story.

Initially it was planned to be a vertically orientated composition, but I'm running out of time before the deadline, so I changed it into a keyframe.

In the vertical composition I wanted to depict the struggle between heaven and earth. In the centre was to be the character who started the war. The ancestral stone, the man who decided to be equal to the god and was punished by the heavens. According to the covenants of the contest, part of the image would be in colour and part in monochrome, I would have it expressed in a kind of special effect where the colour is sucked out of the characters like the dementors suck out people's souls.

I drew inspiration from Renaissance works, I wanted to depict a complex composition of angels and archangels in the sky that descended from heaven.

In the end I made it almost the same, but without the heavens with angels, in the centre stands a knight who consumes souls
